Stocks open open higher as investors focus on earnings

U.S. equity markets opened higher on Monday as investors welcomed a round of earnings reports showing solid growth. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.82%gained 207 points, or 0.9%, to 24,570.
