AMC Entertainment's stock rallies on earnings beat

AMC Entertainment Holding Inc. AMC, -3.39%rose in the extended session Monday after the movie theater operator's quarterly results topped Wall Street views. AMC shares rose 5.8% after hours, following a 5.5% rise to close at $17.20. The company reported first-quarter net income of $17.7 million, or 14 cents a share, compared with $8.

4 million, or 7 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue rose to $1.38 billion from $1.28 billion in the year-ago period. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated 7 cents a share on revenue of $1.35 billion.
